International Bridge
Madawaska International Bridge. International bridge spanning the St. John River between Madawaska, ME and Edmundston, NB. Opened in 1922, the original bridge is limping along to its end of 100 year useful life. The new bridge, under construction in the image, is due to open in 2025, rated as well at 100 year useful life. Along with the new bridge is a new US border crossing station, 1,400 feet upstream from the original station.
