SD Warren Mill. Westbrook, Maine on the Presumpscot River, site of 1st paper mill in Maine, 1730. Built by Samuel Dennis Warren of Westbrook in 1854, initially producing paper from rag pulp. In 1857 1st mill to introduce wood fiber in paper-making process. In 1974 listed in National Register of Historic Places as Cumberland Mills Historic District.
